Dancing Around Issues, aka Squirt, was a Solid Paint Bred APHA Mare, and the start of the first mare I ever bred. She was an amazing mare for myself, my husband and my kiddos. She taught my kids so much about respecting and taking care of the horses and everyone around us. She was my heart mare, and when my middle daughter started to show her, I would have to hide behind the bleachers so she couldn’t see me. We miss her constantly, but she has left her great bloodlines in her two boys.
Im Jennys Time, aka Little, has been my husbands sure footed mountain pony and kid packer for us. She was the one horse my husband could always count on when headed up into the mountains, weather it be riding or packing. She is our old lady now and retired to live her life out at the ranch and push the young ones around. We unfortunately didn’t start breeding until it was too late to breed her, but she has a place with us for the rest of her life.
GunSmoke, one of our buckskin boys, came from Missouri to us, when my husband was retiring Little and needed a new mount. Unfortunately for him, his girls had pretty much taken GunSmoke away from him. He has done everything we ask of him from, royalty patterns, running the flag for the National Anthem, packing in the mountains, trail riding, to trying out English Jumping. He does everything whole heartly and has discovered he loves jumping. He taught our family so much, and always gave everything his whole heart.
Danners Dancin Bar, aka Danner, is our mighty miget. He is an amazing Ranch versitility horse, as well as an amazing partner for my girls. We took the chance and took him down to the APHA Worlds in 2022 for the first time, and he came home with a Reserve World Champion Title for Ranch Pleasure. My first foal out of my mare Squirt, born and raised on our ranch. Danner is one we can do anything on and my daughter Zea and him have done some amazing things together!
A Tru Hollywood Whiz, aka Honey, was brought to the Ranch a few years back as a bred 3 year old. We brought her in as a replacement for Squirt, when I lost her, but again my kids don’t seem to think their parents own any of the horses at the Ranch. My middle daughter is using Honey as her step up horse and mom is out of luck. Honey has given us two great foals and has done great teaching and learning within our program the last few years.
GoodWhiskey DancinTru, aka GW, was my last foal out of Squirt. He is our stallions we have at the Ranch, and he threw our first foal out of him this spring. We are currently training GW, and he has become our daughters heart horse. He is a very calm stud, though a talker, and if Zea can figure out how to smuggle him to college with her, she will. He has Sonitalena on his mom’s side, and his sire Tru Drumroll is an APHA Reserve World Champion in Jr horse and Open Ranch Cow Work.
