Benelli, aka Ben, wasn’t my husbands first hunting partner, but was the first pup he got after him and I got together. Ben had a major will to please and loved to hunt almost as much as he loved our family. He is one of the biggest reasons we considered getting into breeding Labrador Retrievers as hunting dogs and family companions. His love for pleasing made him one of the easiest dogs to hunt train and when we had to retire him from hunting(one hunting trip put him down for 3 days) he wasn’t happy with us but fell perfectly into the life of retirement. Every dog lover out there deserves to have a partner like Ben was. Ben took his trip over the rainbow bridge in the Spring of 2022, and his picture holds a prominent place in our families living room.
Gunney Genesis Robidoux, aka Gunney, is a five-year-old AKC registered Labrador Retriever at Robidoux Ranch. He comes from a long line of hunt-trained parents, known for their exceptional skills in the field. Gunney is a prime example of the quality breeding standards upheld at Robidoux Ranch. He possesses a strong retrieving drive, excellent trainability, and a friendly disposition, making him an ideal companion for both hunting and family life. Not only has he excelled as a hunting partner, but one of our daughters also started showing him in Dog show and he has done very well there as well, coming home with a Grand Champion Ribbon a time or two.
